| This is our Longan tree. It was now being protected by a net to keep the bats and birds that come at night and feed on the growing fruits. Still, this did not solve the problem completely as the fruits close to the nets were all gone by the time they are ripe enough to eat. And some night birds were smart enough to come inside the net from under the shade of the tree as the net cannot cover the whole tree. I've seen other serious solutions like: Cover the net over the entire tree OR the whole garden of Longans! Cover just the bunch of fruits ONLY....per-branch basis (much more labor). Don't plant Longans for a living...grow other types instead ( cocconut?)
